Rapid Change: Switch to Digitalization

The Covid-19 spread has affected many aspects of our daily lives, including our health, workplace and free time. Radical changes have been made, especially in the global economy, by companies and businesses which struggled to survive during the lockdowns. One of the major changes was the switch to digitalization.

As the pandemic forced us to turn our home into a workplace and rely mostly on Internet to keep ourselves connected to the outside world, the business owners saw this as a clear message: keeping up with the development of new technologies is the only way to survive those times and minimize the losses. Thus, this has been a difficult decision for some, as not all companies can easily adapt their domain and activity to digitalization.

But what is digitalization, how can we use it in our advantage and what are the obstacles?

The best example of digitalization is our phone. There is an App for everything you need: transport, food, grocery shopping, accommodation, movies etc. The digital transformation and rapid development of technology forces traditional businesses to keep up with the change or be replaced by new companies, which implement innovative ideas.

Physical products are being replaced by digital solutions and the focus is on networking and exchange of information between the companies and their customers. Services become more important, as goods can easily be replaced. This switch is just another step to a full digitalization.

The digital transformation has its downsides. It varies from industry to industry and creates a gap between big companies and their smaller competition. The desire of clients for innovation will remain unbothered and the more they get accustomed to digital offers, the higher expectancies they will have.

Another obstacle would be the creation of a professional digital team. Enterprises try their best to gather digital experts to bring their businesses and services online in the best form possible. The companies expect more efficient operational processes and a reduction of costs. Since there is a lot of work involved, the number of digital specialists needed is high. This led to a lack of specialists on the market, as the demand is bigger than the offer.

We are set to help with the process of digitalizing your processes while always keeping an eye on your organizational culture.
